Spirit, Mind, Body - a total yoga experience

Having taught yoga for almost 6 years, I still try to think of myself as a newbie. I'm reminded of the time that I first took a yoga class, and had to concentrate so much on what the instructor was saying that I was able to block all of the other people, sounds and distractions. As we progress as yogis, I think that we tend to try and compare our holds or poses to others around us, giving into that natural competitiveness that occurs in most of us. The key to embracing a "total yoga experience" is to actually take this time that you have set aside and just focus on you. Listening to your spirit, your mind & your body.
